Corsair has appointed Grégoire Becouze as its new Chief Commercial Officer, reinforcing its leadership team at a time when the French long-haul carrier is building on a period of strong financial performance and the successful completion of a major transformation programme.
Becouze joins Corsair’s Executive Committee and will report directly to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Pascal de Izaguirre. His appointment brings more than 25 years of airline industry experience to the company, including senior commercial positions at both Air France-KLM and Etihad Airways.
Most recently, Becouze served in several commercial leadership roles at Etihad Airways, including Vice President Sales Europe, where he was responsible for commercial strategy across multiple European markets and supported the airline’s business development efforts. Prior to joining Etihad in 2015, he held various commercial and marketing positions within the Air France-KLM Group.
According to Corsair, his mission will be to continue the airline’s commercial development, strengthen its presence across existing markets and support future growth initiatives as the carrier advances its premium positioning strategy.
“Grégoire’s arrival is a major asset for Corsair,” said Pascal de Izaguirre. “His experience and deep understanding of the industry will be invaluable in supporting our commercial development and continuing the transformation we have undertaken. I am convinced that, alongside our teams, he will help make Corsair the benchmark for long-haul travel in France.”
The appointment comes as Corsair continues to benefit from the transformation strategy launched in 2020, which has centred on fleet modernisation, operational efficiency and an enhanced customer experience.

Building on Strong Financial Results
In December 2025, Corsair reported a net profit of €15.2 million for the 2024/2025 financial year, compared with €1.1 million a year earlier. Operating profit reached €26.4 million, up from €3 million, while revenue totalled €712 million.
The performance was achieved despite a 6% reduction in flight rotations during the period, linked in part to the suspension of the Paris–Montreal route, as well as operational challenges resulting from social unrest in the French Caribbean and the impact of Cyclone Chido in Mayotte.
The airline also recorded a 2.4-point increase in load factor across its network, reflecting stronger demand and improved commercial performance. Higher average fares, particularly in Business and Premium cabins, together with robust ancillary and cargo revenues, contributed to the improvement.
These results reinforced management’s view that Corsair’s premiumisation strategy and commercial repositioning are delivering tangible benefits.
Supporting the Next Phase of Development
A key pillar of Corsair’s transformation has been the complete renewal of its fleet. The airline now operates an all-Airbus A330neo fleet consisting of nine aircraft, providing a standardised onboard product while improving fuel efficiency and environmental performance.
Alongside fleet modernisation, Corsair has invested heavily in upgrading the customer experience through new services and a stronger focus on premium travel. The carrier has introduced initiatives such as concierge services and home baggage check-in, while continuing to enhance its Business and Premium offerings.
With much of its fleet renewal now completed and financial performance improving, the company appears to be entering a new phase focused on commercial growth and market consolidation.
Becouze’s appointment reflects that ambition. His international commercial experience is expected to support Corsair’s efforts to strengthen its position across its long-haul network, which includes destinations in the French Caribbean, the Indian Ocean and West Africa.
“It is with great pride that I join such an iconic and ambitious airline, recognised for the quality of its service and the commitment of its teams,” Becouze said. “I look forward to contributing to its projects and supporting its growth alongside passionate colleagues.”
As Corsair continues its transformation journey, the arrival of a seasoned commercial executive signals the airline’s intention to build on recent momentum and further strengthen its position in the competitive long-haul market.
