Toutefois, ces \u00e9changes r\u00e9v\u00e8lent \u00e9galement un changement notable dans les priorit\u00e9s. Plut\u00f4t que de se concentrer uniquement sur les volumes de passagers, plusieurs destinations mettent d\u00e9sormais l\u2019accent sur la qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019exp\u00e9rience, la r\u00e9partition des visiteurs et une meilleure coordination entre les acteurs.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Pris dans leur ensemble, ces points de vue dessinent une r\u00e9gion qui demeure centrale pour l\u2019industrie de la croisi\u00e8re tout en adaptant progressivement ses strat\u00e9gies aux attentes \u00e9volutives des compagnies de croisi\u00e8re et des voyageurs.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">La croissance des croisi\u00e8res se poursuit dans plusieurs destinations cl\u00e9s de la Cara\u00efbe<\/h2>\n\n<p>Pour plusieurs ports carib\u00e9ens, le trafic de croisi\u00e8re continue de progresser, confirmant l\u2019importance de la r\u00e9gion dans les itin\u00e9raires mondiaux.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u00c0 Saint-Martin, les volumes restent particuli\u00e8rement \u00e9lev\u00e9s. Selon Alexander Gumbs, CEO du Port St. Maarten Group, l\u2019\u00eele s\u2019attend \u00e0 une nouvelle progression dans l\u2019ann\u00e9e \u00e0 venir. <\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote has-medium-font-size is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">\u00ab Business in St. Maarten has been fantastic. We\u2019ve seen a huge growth in our arrivals from cruise passengers. In 2026 we\u2019re expecting more than a 10 percent increase in volume, where we will be exiting around 1.8 million cruise passengers, which is a significant number for a Caribbean destination. \u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>Dans le m\u00eame temps, il souligne que cette croissance s\u2019accompagne d\u2019investissements destin\u00e9s \u00e0 renforcer la comp\u00e9titivit\u00e9 de la destination sur le long terme.<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote has-text-align-center has-medium-font-size is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u00ab Looking at the volume on one end, we\u2019re also making certain strategic investments to ensure that we can further enhance the experience when the guests come to St. Maarten. \u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>Une dynamique positive similaire se retrouve en Dominique, o\u00f9 le secteur de la croisi\u00e8re s\u2019est fortement redress\u00e9 apr\u00e8s le passage de l\u2019ouragan Maria en 2017.<\/p>\n\n<p>Benoit Bardouille, pr\u00e9sident de la Discover Dominica Authority, a soulign\u00e9 l\u2019ampleur de cette reprise.<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote has-text-align-center has-medium-font-size is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u00ab The cruise industry is in fact doing well in Dominica. We suffered immensely in 2017 with Hurricane Maria, but we have bounced back and we\u2019re doing extremely well in terms of cruise visitors. \u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>L\u2019\u00eele accueille d\u00e9sormais environ 350 000 passagers de croisi\u00e8re par an, d\u00e9passant les niveaux de fr\u00e9quentation observ\u00e9s au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 2010.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">L\u2019exp\u00e9rience et la qualit\u00e9 de la destination au premier plan<\/h2>\n\n<p>Si la croissance reste un objectif important, plusieurs intervenants ont indiqu\u00e9 que les destinations accordent d\u00e9sormais une attention accrue \u00e0 la qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019exp\u00e9rience offerte aux passagers plut\u00f4t qu\u2019au seul nombre de visiteurs.<\/p>\n\n<p>La Dominique illustre bien cette approche. Benoit Bardouille explique que l\u2019objectif n\u2019est pas simplement d\u2019augmenter les arriv\u00e9es, mais de veiller \u00e0 ce que les visiteurs interagissent r\u00e9ellement avec la destination. <\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote has-text-align-center has-medium-font-size is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u00ab We want to grow cruise responsibly. We\u2019re not running a numbers game. We want to make sure that we provide quality experience for the visitors that come to Dominica so they may return later as stayover visitors. \u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>Cette vision traduit une volont\u00e9 plus large d\u2019utiliser le tourisme de croisi\u00e8re comme porte d\u2019entr\u00e9e vers la destination, et non comme un segment touristique isol\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n<p>Un accent similaire sur l\u2019exp\u00e9rience passager est ressorti des discussions avec les repr\u00e9sentants d\u2019Antilles Shipping Services, qui g\u00e8re les op\u00e9rations de croisi\u00e8re en Martinique et en Guadeloupe. Through discussions with cruise companies and analysis of passenger feedback and data, we can better identify where to focus efforts to improve the experience for cruise guests. \u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>Cette approche sugg\u00e8re que les destinations carib\u00e9ennes utilisent de plus en plus les donn\u00e9es et les retours des visiteurs pour affiner leurs offres touristiques.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De nouvelles strat\u00e9gies de positionnement pour les ports carib\u00e9ens<\/h2>\n\n<p>Au-del\u00e0 de la gestion de l\u2019exp\u00e9rience, les entretiens mettent \u00e9galement en lumi\u00e8re l\u2019\u00e9volution des strat\u00e9gies de positionnement des destinations.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u00c0 Saint-Vincent-et-les-Grenadines, la dynamique de croissance semble l\u00e9g\u00e8rement diff\u00e9rente. Selon <strong><em>Carl James, CEO de Modern Port Operations Company<\/em><\/strong>, la destination observe un int\u00e9r\u00eat croissant du segment des croisi\u00e8res de luxe. <\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote has-text-align-center is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u00ab This year was a reasonably good year. We saw increases in the number of calls, and the growth was more specific to the luxury sector. A lot of luxury cruise lines are showing interest in the Grenadines because each island has a unique and distinct appeal. \u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>Ce positionnement refl\u00e8te la diversit\u00e9 g\u00e9ographique et culturelle de l\u2019archipel, o\u00f9 les \u00eeles plus petites offrent des exp\u00e9riences distinctives en phase avec les attentes d\u2019une client\u00e8le haut de gamme.<\/p>\n\n<p>Parall\u00e8lement, les gestionnaires de destinations accordent une attention croissante \u00e0 la mani\u00e8re dont les visiteurs circulent \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur des territoires. Carl James souligne que la r\u00e9partition des passagers sur plusieurs zones peut r\u00e9duire la congestion tout en cr\u00e9ant des opportunit\u00e9s pour les communaut\u00e9s locales. <\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-medium-font-size\">\u00ab We want to ensure that passengers are not clustering in one area but are moving efficiently to other communities where they can experience different activities. \u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>Ces strat\u00e9gies t\u00e9moignent d\u2019une prise de conscience croissante des d\u00e9fis op\u00e9rationnels li\u00e9s \u00e0 la concentration des flux touristiques.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Un appel plus marqu\u00e9 \u00e0 la coop\u00e9ration r\u00e9gionale<\/h2>\n\n<p>Un autre th\u00e8me r\u00e9current dans les discussions concerne l\u2019importance d\u2019une coordination plus \u00e9troite entre les destinations de la Cara\u00efbe.<\/p>\n\n<p>Pour Alexander Gumbs, \u00e0 Saint-Martin, le renforcement de la coop\u00e9ration r\u00e9gionale pourrait jouer un r\u00f4le cl\u00e9 dans la consolidation de la position de la Cara\u00efbe au sein de l\u2019industrie mondiale de la croisi\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-medium-font-size\">\u00ab I would love to see the Caribbean become more one. I would love to see more investments in the Caribbean and see the value of the cruise industry translated further into Caribbean destinations. \u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>Selon lui, un meilleur alignement r\u00e9gional pourrait permettre aux destinations de capter davantage de valeur \u00e9conomique g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9e par le tourisme de croisi\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n<p>Les \u00e9v\u00e9nements sectoriels tels que Seatrade Cruise Global demeurent donc des plateformes importantes pour d\u00e9velopper les relations, partager l\u2019information et positionner les destinations carib\u00e9ennes dans un march\u00e9 mondial particuli\u00e8rement concurrentiel.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Perspectives<\/h2>\n\n<p>Dans l\u2019ensemble, ces \u00e9changes sugg\u00e8rent que les destinations de la Cara\u00efbe entrent dans une phase plus mature de leur relation avec le secteur de la croisi\u00e8re.<br\/><\/p>\n\n<p>La demande des passagers reste forte et l\u2019activit\u00e9 de croisi\u00e8re continue de progresser dans plusieurs territoires.
